This is my first opportunity to take a class from Dr. Yuen so I've never heard of a blogfolio before now. Blogging is not a new concept to me but a portfolio of my work in a class in the form of a blog is something that I've never thought about before, very cool, but not a use that I had thought of. I, once again, find myself learning about a great tool even before the class has gotten started good.
A blogfolio is simply a way to display or showcase my work that I will be conducting in IT 648. I will post my discussions, assignments, and links on this blog so that you (the reader) will be able to see what I've accomplished in this class and easily see if I have an understanding of the concepts covered in this class.
I am excited about this for a couple of reasons. I'm always helping teachers come up with new and innovative ways to help motivate students and make the their jobs a little easier with technology. This will be a great constructivist learning experience that will be easily accessible. I am also excited about my blogfolio because it work like a journal for me. I enjoy writing in my journal, but I enjoy going back and reading past journals even better. I can see what I've learned, how my thinking has changed, and return to some ideas that I never saw through to the end. I think this blogfolio will serve the same purpose.
I hope you enjoy my blogfolio as much as I will have making it.
