hello...

Well my name is Michael Trest. I would be amiss to not describe myself first and foremost as a follower of Jesus Christ. Everything after that... I have a wonderful family which consists of my amazing wife, Dawn, and beautiful daughter, Anne.

Our lives are in flux at the moment. We were both teachers last year and now we're not. I'm now working at the Learning Enhancement Center at USM as an Online Course developer. She is making crafty things which she sells on Etsy and spending time with Anne. We're in the process of moving to Hattiesburg and just kind of enjoying the adventure.

My undergrad was in Psychology here at USM and my masters was in Education at William Carey. I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Instructional technology *tech emphasis*. I love playing and listening to good music (favorite genres being classical, metal, some electronic, and bluegrass). I also enjoy learning about and designing creative materials with technology. I'm currently trying to learn some more about static web page design (div, CSS). **I got frustrated with my lack of knowledge about this and this is why my blog design is so simple** I love flash and would love to learn JAVA, php, sql, Unity, and Blender but those may be a while away.
