I, at first, am always a bit leery of any type of social, site-sharing web applications. I am this way because the only virus I've ever gotten on my computer was from my use of stumbleupon. Somebody created a site with a virus on it and then marked it with at least one of my interests so that I stumbled upon a virus.
BUT...
Diigo looks AMAZING!! I can't believe the wealth of information that is on this site! I was not expecting the number of different topics and levels of experience that I found. We had to bookmark at least 15 different sites for our group. I don't think I'm going to browse any more until I spend some time looking through these and at first glance, that may take a while. There is some great, great, great information here!!!! I found everything from web 2.0 to php tutorials to best practice for flash to opensource information and so much more! I really can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with so that I can get their bookmarks too!!
After looking into Diigo a bit more, I am only 1000% more excited about this. The major reasons I use Twitter and Facebook is to collect information about the sites, products, and tools that I use. Diigo takes my search for this information and puts them right on my own page. All I have to do now is find the time to go back in an look at all of the information.
That may be a potential turn off to this site. I got overwhelmed by the sheer number of sites that I found and caught myself not really looking at many of them. I guess I felt that I needed to get the assignment done or had to hurry or just felt... well, overwhelmed by all the sites that I found. I didn't know where to begin and even though I did try to look at some of them, I kept thinking about all the other ones that I had. I guess I just need to go through and look at one at a time.
How do you eat an elephant?
I will use this tool and I will tell others about it. It seems like such a waste if people don't know about it. I guess it'll be good for me until I do come across one of those malicious sites that has been set up for my computer's doom.
If you can't tell, I'm really excited about this and hopefully I won't get a virus :)

Did you check out the webslide feature offered by Diigo? I think it is just great!!! I watched the sites I bookmarked and I didn't have to do anything. It was like a refresher of all the things I had found. The one thing I haven't figured out is if I can turn someone else's resources into webslides. I guess I will figure that out soon enough. I agree with David, Diigo is great for organizing when it comes to research papers. As we were completing this assignment, I was busy creating a list of resources for my paper. Well, I hope you have had a better experience with this site than with the other social site you mentioned.
